- We are looking for real siblings in the age bracket 9-17.
- All ethnicities.
- They could be 10 girl, 13 boy and 15 girl for example. However gender and age doesn’t matter (we do want to cast over 9 though).
- We would love to cast a real group of siblings to see their energy and natural sibling dynamics!
- Soulful, real and grounded. Characterful, interesting and memorable faces.
- Yes they live in a shoe BUT they’re a genuine family with names, strengths and flaws.
- They are a warm, imperfect family living in a shoe. The family grounds it but the shoe makes it extraordinary.
- What truly matters is authentic family chemistry. This could come from casting a real family with natural dynamics, or from assembling/ mixing siblings and actor mums together who improvise, play, and feel unscripted together.
- Ideally we would like to find 3 siblings of different ages between 9-17. We welcome all types, whether that means 2, 3, 4 siblings, twins, or otherwise.
Please pop in the notes about siblings and their ages. Please no one under age 9. Examples-
- oldest sibling, confident & outgoing
- middle- ball of energy
- youngest- head in a book, quiet wants space and boundaries
These are just examples of the family dynamics but they don’t have to be in that order or that exact!
If the real mum wants to give it a go too then please encourage them to tape with the children if asked to tape.
Please check that they have a valid UK passport set to expire at least six months after the final day of travel day planned.
On set, we’ll be capturing unscripted little scenes built around real objectives—cooking, cleaning, studying, playing football—inside a space that feels too small. The goal is to keep scenes alive and unpredictable, letting frustration and humour emerge naturally.
