We’re looking for a male and female set of twins 18-30 for filming the 12th, 13th, 14th of February for a short film music video. A short, emotionally driven music video in which a couple’s final argument unfolds while their shared memories—played by identical twins—share the same physical space. No dialogue.
The Film’s Outline: The film is a music video short film, all performances are non dialogue. Just reaching three minutes the piece follows a couple through their high and lows before and after they break up. Memories – played by corresponding twins – share the same physical space as the present day, haunting an ex couple as they pack to move out of their once happy home.
Possibly good material for showreels! The technical aspect of this piece will display the twins ability and performance skills within 5 to 10 second shots. In a dynamic environment with high emotion and subtle cinematography highlighting performances, the final piece will be very eye catching and closed in to the actors talents. Their leniency on one another and shared personality with complimentary performances is super exciting and will make this film stand out. We do hope to take it to film festivals across the uk with support from our University (Bournemouth).
Rates, we are a student production, non-union and looking to have actors come in for 10:00AM everyday until around 17:30PM for £120 per role per day for 3 days.
The brief for all roles is as such:
- Boyfriend: 18-30, non-speaking part (music will be the only audio of the film). At first, a secure, content and relationship obsessed young man, comfortable acting to be in a relationship with the female counter actress. Casual, trendy and neat. Freshly moved in with his girlfriend gifting her presents and setting up their new home round them. The situation will turn and relentless arguments will clog their happiness. Actor to be comfortable kissing female actress and hugging her.
- Ex Boyfriend: 18-30, non-speaking part (music will be the only audio of the film). A distraught highly emotional man, arriving to pack up this home, after the break up. Memories of all the times, both good and bad share his physical space. He can’t escape the heartbreak and isolation he now faces, lingering in the past. Appearance now unkempt, messy, not put together.
- Girlfriend: 18-30, non-speaking part (music will be the only audio of the film). A determined, happy and vibrant young woman, totally secure in her relationship. Moving in with her boyfriend and starting a new home and life with him. She supports him, cooks for him. Clean, trendy and well put together, glowing in contentment. Soft and gentle in emotion until things break down. Actress to be comfortable acting in relationship, a shared kiss and hug.
- Ex Girlfriend: 18-30, non-speaking part (music will be the only audio of the film). A worn down and emotional young woman, now facing a huge challenge in life. Determined to remain unseen and not show pain directly to her ex partner, using anger to separate herself from her situation. Fallen apart appearance wise, not making such an effort in typical beauty standard ways. Struggling greatly with the effort put in to a relationship and the fall out now haunting her.
Appearance: For all roles we are happy with any appearance as long as there is the huge similarity between twins and the two sets of twin actors have a similar age range and look appropriate as a couple. Similarity, different hair cuts and styles between twins are okay and will accentuate the time that’s past and we are comfortable with too.
