We are ONLY casting a real dad and his daughter (or could even be niece and uncle for example or have another close family connection) so their natural chemistry comes across.
- Dad is in his late 30’s / early 40’s
- Milly is 8 – 9 (we can’t go younger than 8 for legal reasons so please don’t suggest anyone 7 or under!!)
Our dad and daughter pair are the human equivalent of Bluey and Bandit (from Bluey!).
They’re everyday people, not part of an ad family. Not super-good-looking, polished or ‘aspirational’, but people we feel like we know and can warm to.
Milly is utterly charming – but not in a cutesy way. She’s got an interesting face – maybe she has tonnes of freckles, eyebrows that give her a permanently quizzical look, or hair that just won’t lie flat whatever you do to it.
Dad is equally personable – he’s friendly-looking, a bit scruffy.
They have a mischievous relationship – they take the mickey out of each other and don’t take things too seriously. They both have bags of character – but it’s understated and dry.
We want some confident characters as they will be doing a dance together!!
