Various acting roles (Vertical drama)

We are casting not for twins on this occasion!

This is for a period vertical. A true historical drama. Feature verticals are shot over 6-8 days and are fast and furious.

Please read the following carefully – we are filming the first 10 epsiodes over a day and a half, a sort of hook, bait, sizzler. Scenes in micro drama are fast and the dialogue is punchier. So apart from Alice and Maggie who are needed for both days, most characters are needed for half to one day only.

• Dates are Monday 11 May and one other half day.
• The location is St Leonards on Sea, Hastings (definite) possibly Brighton on the 2nd half day. Travel costs are limited to £15 so those who live nearby are preferred for us and for yourselves.
• We are asking that actors work on this as a collaboration, ie we will put it on youtube and insta and tik tok and share the proceeds between anyone who worked free @ a rate of £132 a day and £70 half day.

Please state the name of the character you would like to play:

• ALICE DIAMOND (19-21)
  Working-class, sharp, and quietly defiant. After being sexually assaulted and losing her job for it, Alice transforms from invisible servant into a strategic, fearless operator building toward leadership of something far bigger. Must be able to do both a London cockney accent and a heightened RP. Girls wanted who have chest to waist length fair wavy hair. Must be good looking, white caucasian. Slim.
• MAGGIE HILL (20-25)
  Bold, loyal, and emotionally intelligent. Alice’s closest ally and moral counterbalance quick with humour, quicker with instinct, and the one person who challenges Alice when she goes too far. Small in stature, dark hair and Irish accent
• THE DUKE (40 -50)
  Charming, entitled, and deeply dangerous. A man who has never faced consequences, his abuse of power sets everything in motion and makes him the ultimate symbol of the world Alice decides to take down. Tall, imposing and Heightened RP Voice.
• MRS DAVIES -HOUSEKEEPER (40-60)
  Controlled, strict but with heart. A gatekeeper of the system, though sympathetic she enforces the rules that keep women like Alice in their place.
• THE DUCHESS (40 -50)
  Wealthy and oblivious. The target of Alice’s first burglary her world of excess and cold marriage to the Duke begins to collapse with the invasion of Alice in her home.
• THE DEALER – MORRIS JAKOB (40-60s)
  Cynical and opportunistic. A black-market fence who offers far less than the diamonds are worth, exploiting the women who come to him when desperate for help. Bearded
• SERGEANT CAPSTICK (28-35)
  Solid, ambitious, good looking. Meets Alice without knowing who she is and begins to court her. Will his friendship and later romance save Alice?
• The RIGHT HON HENRY ASHCOMBE (30-40)
  A young man who is an MP who has escaped being drafted or signing up with a riding accident. Gambler, roguish but charming.
• 3 lady SA and 2 older gents in soiree attire (needed) just for an hour or two.

So if anyone will help us as an SA or knows of a reenactment group I’d love to have details.

All female roles need long hair (no budget for wigs). The men, Henry and Sargent Capstick need longer hair and be prepared to have facial hair added or trimmed. No fade cuts as we haven’t the budget for wigs
